In January 27, 2022, correspondence with the Virginia House of Delegates, the AACU and several coalition partners expressed support for a bill to prohibit insurers from requiring cost-sharing for prostate cancer screening services (HB 477). A legislative committee referred the proposal to the Virginia Health Insurance Reform Commission which will be obliged to study its potential impact and report back to the Delegates within two years.
