The AACU joined thirteen other organizations in asking the House and Senate appropriations committees to allocate $60 million in FY23 for the Kidney Cancer Research Program (KCRP) at the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) conducted by the US Department of Defense. The CDMRP’s highly innovative research drives scientific discovery in high-impact research areas, (including kidney cancer) not sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other federal agencies.
