ADVOCACY CONFERENCE 2010

October 8 – 9, 2010

October 8 – 9, 2010 – Hyatt Rosemont – Rosemont, Illinois.

Thank you for your interest in the upcoming State Society Network Event. The online registration is now closed.

The AACU invites AACU members to our 3rd annual State Society Network Advocacy Conference.

Join your colleagues and learn about trends in state legislation across the country in a fully interactive discussion. The primary objectives of this meeting are to support the growing network of urologists engaged in advocacy activities, facilitate an exchange of information among urology's advocates on the state level, and better prepare urologists for success in state legislatures across the country.

  • Registration for AACU Members is FREE!

Attendees will hear panel discussions led by expert presenters and participate in breakout sessions throughout the day. The open forum format will allow you to discuss how other urologists in your region and across the country have addressed advocacy challenges and achieved important victories. Share your experiences and strategies, and have your questions answered about new issues confronting urology.

Topics for the conference include:

  • Fighting state restrictions on urology
  • Advocacy training
  • Media Training
  • Challenges to your practice
  • Conveying the urologic specialty message to the public
  • Political involvement at the state level
  • Organizing for legislative action
  • Federal legislative trends and their state impact
  • And more!

New for 2010!

AACU will be adding a valuable CME activity to the SSN Annual Meeting. During this state of the art program, urologists will gain valuable continuing medical education (CME) credits on some of the newest techniques in urology; all while learning valuable insight on how to best code for these procedures. These sessions promise to educate participants while gaining the tools necessary to bill payers most effectively.
