Congress Adjourns for Two Weeks, Consider In-State Meeting

2017-04-07 | , AACU and UROPAC

The U.S. House and Senate will soon begin a two-week recess. Both chambers are expected to return the week of April 24. During this break, legislators will be back in their home districts. This will be a great time to reach out and meet with your elected officials. Many will be holding town hall meetings that you should attend. It's also a chance to invite them to your clinic to meet with you, or just join them for coffee. This week can be great for grassroots contacts to share your thoughts.

The AACU has developed tools to facilitate this process and UROPAC staff stand ready to contact candidates’ campaign offices to find out about local events and possibly even schedule a meeting at your office.

Host a facility visit
There is no substitute for the powerful message you send when you invite your elected and appointed officials to your practice to see firsthand the quality of care that you provide and the satisfaction of your patients. Read more...
